ALIGNMENT

WHY DO YOU NEED WHEEL ALIGNMENT?

When potholes, curbs, and even routine road wear knock your car wheels out of alignment, the results can range from the subtle (tires that wear prematurely) to dramatic (poor handling).

Do you think your wheels may need adjusting?  Come to BLAKE’S Auto Center for a free alignment check.  We’ll help make sure you’re getting the most from your tire investment, so you can enjoy the road and destination uninterrupted.

How do I know I need my wheels aligned?

  • Your tires or tread are worn on one edge

  • Your vehicle pulls left or right when you’re cruising on a straight, smooth road

  • Your steering wheel shimmies, feels loose, or is hard to turn

  • Your tires have uneven wear

  • Your steering wheel is crooked when driving straight

  • Your tires squeal

Is it bad to drive a car with bad alignment?

If your car's alignment is bad, driving becomes more expensive and can even be DANGEROUS. A bad wheel alignment can also be dangerous because it may cause your car to pull or drift out of your lane or hydroplane on wet pavement.  Uneven tire wear can lead to a blowout or make you lose traction in an emergency.

How long does alignment last?

If your vehicle tracks as straight as an arrow, you're wheels are properly aligned. Even so, it's a good idea to have your alignment checked annually, such as when you have your tires rotated. You certainly should have it done when you buy new tires so they don't immediately start to wear unevenly
